Apps for making music, and for everyday life.

Percussiva is our music platform for musicians, music schools and students. GoTrips is the first of our everyday-use systems. Our apps are cross-platform, and their backends run on one reliable platform we built ourselves.

Music

Percussiva, the music platform

Tools for musicians, music schools and students: practise with any recording, turn notation into playable scores, and run a school’s teaching in one app.

Riffscope

Coming soon

Slow down, loop and study music and video.

Add audio or video once, then slow it down, shift its pitch, loop the hard bits and move around the waveform with your hands or the keyboard.

  • Loops and flags. Click-free loops with a speed trainer and a count-in. Speed in steps of 0.1% and pitch in steps of one cent, with video kept in sync.
  • Scores beside the recording. A PDF score turns its pages with the playhead, at any speed and around every loop. Mark up the page in ink.
  • Tuner and metronome. A chromatic tuner to 0.1 cent, with temperaments and Persian quarter tones. A metronome with odd meters that can follow the beat of the track.
  • Your library, in place. Files stay where they are. Flags, loops and where you left off sync through iCloud between Mac, iPhone and iPad. Export a recording at the speed and pitch you chose.

Percussiva School

Coming soon

A music school’s classes, materials, lessons, feedback on recordings, sessions and chat. One app for every role.

  • Feedback on recordings. Teachers flag a moment or a passage in a student’s take and reply with text, voice or video.
  • Courses and lessons. Lessons, materials and assignments, with drafts and published versions.
  • Schedule and chat. Sessions in a room or online, roll call, make-ups, calendar feeds, and chat built in.

Percussiva Studio

Coming soon

From scanned percussion notation to scores you can play, edit and share.

  • From scan to score. Pages are cut into notes, each note into its technique mark and its body.
  • Machine learning you can check. Annotate similar marks together, train, then compile notation with problems listed per bar.
  • Play and correct. A player over the notation. Tap a note to see the crop it came from.

Everyday-use systems

GoTrips, for getting around

The first of our everyday-use systems: apps that take care of the small daily jobs, so there’s less to think about.

GoTrips

Coming soon

Live GO Transit departures, platforms and delays, your train tracked with reminders, and trips planned across GO, MiWay and the TTC.

  • Your commute, live. The next trains with delays, coaches and express runs. A platform appears only once the station announces it.
  • Trips across the region. Plan from any address with GO, MiWay and TTC buses, subways and streetcars. Timetables for any day work offline.
  • A trip that keeps you posted. Time to leave, platform changes, delays and “your stop is next”, on your iPhone and your Apple Watch.
  • Private by default. No account. Saved addresses stay on your phone, and diagnostics are off unless you turn them on.

The platform

Reliable systems on one platform

Every app with a backend runs on one shared platform, built from open standards. Each new app starts with monitoring, backups and safe releases already in place.

Data stays in Canada

Data on our servers is stored in Canada, today and when we move to the cloud.

Monitoring and alerts

Metrics, logs and error reports from our backends, with an alert when something needs attention. Personal details are removed first.

Nightly backups

Every database and stored file is backed up every night, and we’re alerted if a backup is missed.

Safe releases

New features ship behind feature flags, so they reach testers first and can be turned off without an app update.

Infrastructure as code

Servers, databases and deployments are defined in code, so every environment is set up the same way and every change is tracked.

Open standards

Built on containers, Kubernetes and other open standards, so our apps can move between cloud providers without a rewrite.

How we work

Careful work, built to last

Heedoo Systems Inc. is an independent software company in Ontario, Canada.

Simple by design

Every screen earns its place. If a feature makes an app harder to use, it doesn’t ship.

Respect for your privacy

Our apps collect only what they need to work, and we never sell your data.

Built to last

Fast, native experiences that we keep maintaining and improving over time.

Try our apps before they launch

Our apps are in testing. Email us with the app you’d like to try and the device you use, and we’ll reply with how to join the test. Questions, ideas and partnerships are welcome too; for help with an app, write to support.
